It’s a great contribution to theatre activities. A really worth place for art and drama lovers. An amazing theatre complex with 4 wonderful stages which has open air theatre, sorrounded by greenary. It has contributed many talented artists to the society. It is a feast to theatre lovers. One more proud to the lovely heritage city Mysore.

Came for Kalamandir for national theatre festival. Neat ambience. Must visit during theatre festival days, other days it is normal.
Gandhi is the main person. Bahruroopi theatre festival.

If you are a theatrical drama enthusiast, then do visit the Bahuroopi theatre festival which they conduct every year. Very well organised and it is indeed a feast to the eye! They also perform dramas on weekends! Do visit at your free times!! Long live theatre!

A place to spend great weekends… They have regular plays and events organised… Bahuroopi theatre festival concluded this week which happens every year… Many theatre troops from different parts of nation come along to present their plays… The drama|plays are in various languages (from assamese to kannada)… Most beautiful ones are selected are presented during the festival… Even on the other usual days, cultural events are conducted in the theatres.

It was a great experience attending a live Raaga Rangayana event, it was very melodious, the sound system is really good, the lighting sets the perfect mood to listen to songs.

Hope to visit again for some great events in future.

My visit was on the occation of Bahuroopi National theatre festival conducted on January 12th to 18th, 2019. The event was conducted very well as it is undertaken by Government of Karnataka it is very well maintained. Few things can be done well.

Kala Mandir Rangayana in Mysore is a vibrant cultural hub that beautifully celebrates art and theater. The performances here are deeply engaging, often reflecting local traditions and contemporary themes. The venue is well-maintained, and the seating arrangement ensures a good view from every angle. The ambiance fosters creativity and cultural appreciation. However, better parking facilities or improved signage around the premises would enhance the visitor experience. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to immerse yourself in the richness of Mysore’s art and culture.

A good place, i have watched a play named “my family” that was very nice….there acting skill is top notch…entire environment of that place creates a good vibe…i loved that place very much

The act performed here are famous all over Karnataka .The artist here are of top quality .
Has this place is situated in between d Nature’s beauty it adds more colours and joy to watch the Plays performed here .

This is awesome place for conducting any big programme as it fits for around 1200 audience…..here if you want to conduct programme then you need to book earlier and pay some advance and here there is ample car parking space and beside this rangamandira is there for plays… Totally a beautiful place for all kinds of school day, book release, sangeetha kacheri, dance programme and so on….. I would give 4star for maintenance….. But overall it’s awesome
